This past week has been all about rapid prototyping as we gear up for our upcoming testing day with Guide Dogs Victoria. We have been preparing two prototypes for next weeks testing which we have named “the seed” and “the cube” for the interim. We will also be bringing our MVP as backup in case there are issues on the day. The team is especially excited because one of our prototypes is now cable-less, a big milestone and a direct response to feedback we’ve consistently heard during stakeholder discussions.
The past week has been packed with planning, device testing, and plenty of hands-on work. We’ve been preparing carefully for testing with the low vision community, not just by planning how our device will be trialled but also by refining our casings to ensure they’re comfortable, functional, and user-friendly.
We’re eager to see how our prototypes perform in testing and to keep learning from each step of the process as we move closer to our final design.
Thank you for following along and supporting Project Ver, it means a lot to our team. If you’d like to get in touch, you can email us at projectver2025@gmail.com or connect with us on our socials.
For now, enjoy a picture of our cable-free, wearable prototype as well as some of our other prototypes.
