Weeks 15 & 16

The past two weeks have been an exciting mix of progress, planning, and plenty of teamwork for the Project Ver crew. We’ve been busy refining our prototypes while also preparing for Project Audit 3, which we wrapped up this week. The audit was a great chance to get on top of our documentation, but the real highlight was our presentation, a Kahoot quiz all about our project. It turned out to be a fun and engaging way to share our work, and the positive feedback from the audience left us feeling energised and encouraged.
Alongside this, we’ve been reaching out to many of our trusted stakeholders, whose advice has been invaluable since the very beginning. We asked for their thoughts on everything from button preferences and device functionality to attachment styles and form factor trade-offs. Their insights have once again helped guide our design choices, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to share their expertise.
Another exciting milestone was presenting our device concept to an assistive technology focus group at Guide Dogs Victoria. This gave us a chance to discuss how the device could be used in real-world contexts and, even more importantly, helped us take the first steps toward setting up a prototype testing group in mid-September.
While we do have a functioning prototype right now, it’s not yet at the quality of a minimum viable product. That said, we’re currently building two parallel prototypes that will be ready by the second week of September. From there, we’ll choose the strongest option to refine into our final product. It’s a big step forward, and we couldn’t be more excited to see where it takes us.
We remain truly grateful to everyone who has supported and engaged with Project Ver so far. Your encouragement, feedback, and thoughtful advice continue to drive this project forward, and we wouldn’t be here without you. If you’d like to get in touch, share ideas, or ask questions, you can always reach us at projectver2025@gmail.com or connect with us on our socials.
For now, we’ll leave you with a snapshot of the device and some testing in action. Thanks for following along on the journey!
